
In the last 10 years a large part of my practice has been working within the education sector and wider community with both children and adults. This part of my practice has reinforced in me that we all have amazing creative capabilities, and only reason that people believe or think they are not creative, is that they have yet to find that medium to work with that excites their imagination.

Pots Around Town Project
‘Pots Around Town’ was community project in which a trail of large ceramic pots were made by eight ceramicist artists that were then situated and located in various locations around the Walled City.

Pots Around Town Map "Trail"
The trail is inspired by the Swedish ‘Krukor pa stan’ (translated as ‘pots on the town’) outdoor exhibition which involved seven Scandanavian ceramicists creating large pots for display in outdoor locations in Stockholm in 1998.

My Pot about Town
The idea behind making of my big pot was the metaphor ‘The Melting Pot’ which in the 18th and 19th centuries - used to describe the fusion of different nationalities, ethnicities and cultures.
